I’m Jen LaPointe. It’s great to meet you and I look forward to connecting! I wanted to share a bit about me so you know who you are working with…
I have been a civil engineer for 20-something years including roles from technical design to project management, team leadership, business development, Board representation and business management. I am a registered, Professional Engineer (P.E.) and also a LEED Accredited Professional. I live for travel, wine, truth and happiness. I fill my time with family, friends, projects, the pursuit of fun and obsessively staying busy. I am married to a pilot, stepmom to two, amazing bonus sons and one has blessed us with the cutest grandson who we adore. I currently live in both Columbus and Phoenix but basically grew up in the middle of an Ohio corn field. I graduated from The University of Dayton with a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and lived in Chicago for 8yrs after college.
I look for experiences over things and am drawn to funny, shiny people who are honest and positive. I love traveling, farmers markets, local festivals and live music. But, what I am truly passionate about is creating meaningful relationships by connecting people and finding the most efficient solutions while moving forward toward success and having fun along the way. This is how I find my joy in the journey and I can't wait to help you.
Traveling anywhere is my true happy place and the planning is almost as great as going to me. A few of my favorite destinations so far (outside the US) include: Kenya, Australia, Argentina, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Greece. The U.S. has amazing sights as well and I have enjoyed visiting many states, cities and national parks right in our own backyard. I haven't been everywhere yet, but it's on my list!
